Kollider - Event Manager
September 2019 - September 2020
Kollider included multiple event spaces, a co-working space including Barclays Eagle Labs, and was a creative hub in Sheffield. I moved from LCR to Kollider to embed myself in the events sector in the city I lived in and love. Unfortunately my time and ambitions in this role was sadly cut short due to Covid-19.
In this position I represented Kollider on the board of Sheffield Digital Festival to lead on the development, concept and strategy for a new event launch - Sheffield Tech Fest. Sadly the world had other plans, but it was still an important time of learning and growth.
My role involved:
Developing Kollider’s business plan and event strategy to take this new venture to the forefront of the events sector in the city
Budget and revenue management on a business wide scale, as well as individual project and event budgets.
Setting business wide KPI's and targets, reporting progress and revenue.
Developing and embedding project plans and processes for effective delivery and cross departmental collaboration
Managing all staff involved in events planning and delivery, both internal and freelance
Working with clients who hired our venue to plan their event, advising on how best to bring their concept to life, creating floorplans, project plans, timelines and procuring and negotiating with suppliers.
Collaborating with Barclays Eagle Labs to deliver events taking place in our venue and co-working space
Developing event strategies and project plans with our Eagle Labs members, assessing their business goals and developing event concepts to reach their target audiences - and delivering them with success!
Providing full production management services to clients to deliver their AV requirements and execute to high level production specifications
On the day event management – leading all suppliers to manage event build, show days and breakdown.
Health and safety lead and management across our events preparation and delivery
Negotiating contracts, costs and conducting procurement exercises with suppliers
